What is Mirador?

Mirador is a new search and order Web interface being developed at the GES DISC for our data users. It has a drastically simplified, clean interface and employs the Google mini appliance for metadata keyword searches. Other features include quick response, data file hit estimator, Gazetteer (geographic search by feature name capability), and an interactive shopping cart.

Mirador (Spanish for "scenic view") is currently undergoing beta testing. We expect Mirador to go fully operational soon. Note that there are currently no plans to eliminate our current search and order tools.

Using Mirador

Mirador is currently operational, but that does not mean it is done! We encourage feedback and suggestions from the user community. A feedback mechanism is provided towards the bottom of the Left Navigation Menu. Feel free to give Mirador a spin and help us make it better.
